The Southern District works in tandem with LCMS Youth Ministry, helping youth to grow in leadership skills, serving, along with sharing resources on training experiences for youth and youth ministry leaders. Youth ministry is recognized as a vital connection in helping persons grow in their faith journey.

The information for Disaster Response in the Southern District has been updated. Church members and staff of congregations especially located in the hurricane zone and other congregations willing to provide assistance in an emergency are encouraged to provide information here.
